Architectural visualization serves as a basis here. At present, it has the form of 3D architectural visualization or a combination of 3D techniques and real video. Due to the calculation intensity, it is still considered to be above the standard and a privilege of larger studios. Clients like it, because unlike static images it is easier to get the picture of what impression the given area or location will give and what it will look like. They provide a more impressive and luxurious form of presentation.

Most frequent architectural animations are:

- walkthrough architectural animations
This is the animation from the viewpont of a person who stands on the ground and walks through the given area. This animation is frequently used for an interior walkthrough, but is not exceptional for exterior visualizations. They give a more compact idea of the area.

- fly through or fly over architectural animations
This is the animation from the bird’s eye/aircraft perspective. It is used for bigger development projects.


The animations may be divided into:

- fully 3D where all objects and environments including trees, scenery etc. are with no exception made into 3D models. Such animation is demanding on processed data volume.

- 3D with real video scene – pasting the models of 3D visualized objects to the video recorded at a given location in advance. 3D objects are then merged into the video using the so called camera tracking technique, which transfers the moves of the real camera to the 3D environment. If processed correctly, the objects are precisely embedded in their place in the video. This is a popular technique that is time-efficient in relation to environment processing and looks very realistic.
